CVS: Free EOS Lip Balm & Old Spice Deodorant!

November 28, 2010 1:39 am · 13 comments

It looks like there are two hidden deals this week at CVS. I found the Old Spice Fresh Collection Deodorant priced at $4 with $4 ECB back! This deal appears to be over on 12/4.

Also, EOS Lip Balm is priced at $2.99 with a $2.99 ECB back. I purchased the Summer Fruit flavor and it produced the ECB.

Both items are limit 1

The EOS Lip Balm produced the 2.99 ECB for me but the deodorant didn’t :( It was strange because it wasn’t marked on sale, but when I took it to the price checker machine, it came up as the $4 you verified, so I thought for sure that I had found a hidden gem! But once I checked out, no ECB for the deodorant had printed :(

Sarah–I actually did not purchase the Deodorant and others have reported that the ECB did not print for them as well. So this may be an error as far as the ECB. But I was able to verify with the tag. I’m sorry. I just hate when deals don’t go as planned!

Thanks for posting about the Eos Lip balm. I found it advertised at my local CVS and got it no problem with all those left over ECB’s from Black Friday.

This is a wonderful lip balm that’s organic and works like a charm.

Thanks! I’m gonna go check it out tomorrow! I’m itching to use my ECBs from Thanksgiving Day. :) So just to clarify, has anyone had getting an ECB to print for the Old Spice? And if it doesn’t print, can you point out the hang tag and get them to print you one anyway? I’ve never tried that. Just wondering. Thanks!

Linds: If it has a tag you can surely point that out to cashier!

I tried it today at a CVS in Long Beach, CA and the Old Spice had no tag and produced no ecb. I returned it. It worked out for me since I paid for it with my black friday ecbs and got a money card after returning it. Money cards don’t expire like ecbs :)

Mine didn’t print either. Asst Manager called CS and it took 10-15 minutes. NO solution, she was advised she could NOT even print them manually. WTF? ANyways, she gave me a second one in return for No ECBs.

I went to a CVS near my house, and it had a tag, and a buck did not print out. But I wonder if it’s because I used a $4 ECB from the Gilette deoderant freebie on Thanksgiving, because it says “Gilette/Old Spice”. Either way, I went and told the manager, who walked over, looked at my receipt and got all confused about the notation at hte bottom that said I’d used the catalog offer of spend $20 get $4 ECB. I got really frustrated and said “that has nothing to DO with this!” Then he thought I was saying I’d bought 2, when what I said was that I got an ECB for the eos, but not for the Old Spice. Then after all that, he says “just go up to the register, they can do it there.” So why was he haggling with me? Ugh. Idiot. Anyways, so then I went up there and the lady just took me at my word and printed it. She started flipping through the ad, and I said “it’s unadvertised, but it’s clearly labeled on the shelf”. A lot of hassle for $4, but what was nice is I had a $2.99 buck and a $4 buck, so all I paid was 61 cents. Hurray!
