My Coupon “Caboodle”

I just wanted to share with you all how I organize my coupons. Sorry for the quality of the video–I sort of whipped this up quick. I know it seems a little OCD-ish but I have learned that the only true way to save money is to be organized-and though I do try–sometimes my coupons get a little out of hand (like the previous post HERE)

How many papers do you buy a week? I buy 3, I just couldnt imagine how huge my coupon holders would be if i tried to jam 3 inserts worth of coupons in them every week lol! I do love the little cadooble though! cute :)

I get 2 papers delivered. When there is a great week, I will get up to 10 :)

So after reading this I went to staples today and found something kind of like this. They are hard case file folders just like the ones i store my whole inserts in but they are small with a flat bottom so they stand up, almost the size of your cadooble with 19 pockets in it! I bought two of them, they come in pretty designs. Decided its time to try something new because Im on ruining my second purse thanks to all the weight in it from my coupons lol.

i would have never thought of a caboodle but I do have a cute one I got in PAris, Might have to rethink that one.

I use all three methods really. I keep a binder with my main supply of “regular” deals (always w/me), I keep a crate with my full inserts filed and sorted by date in my car and my 2nd wallet in my very heavy purse carries all my CVS/Rite Aid bucks and CSO coupons. I dont know how but I always know where everything is. My rain checks are kept in my binder. I cut out only one set of inserts and file in binder and all others are kept intact.

I dump all the inserts I don’t cut in a drawer at home. Every once in awhile I go through the drawer and dump the expired ones. The ones I cut I file into an old organizer I used to have that I turned into a coupon holder- http://mommysaidno.blogspot.com/2010/10/how-to-make-coupon-holder.html

I do love the caboodle idea, especially that yours zips up!
