Yesterday I went to the Dentist to have a Bridge put on. All I can say about that is it: sucked. So long story short….I got my bridge put on and I now have an extremely sensitive tooth. I can not drink cold or hot..eat cold or hot…nothing.
I realized that straws make drinking fluids a TON easier…yesterday I had none–today I have a bunch, thanks to McDonald’s!
So it is crazy that I don’t want to pay for straws?

My Name is Josie and I live in sunny Southern California and I am a stay at home mom to three beautiful boys. We all know that living in California is a task of it's own and saving in California IS possible! I started this blog mainly to share all the awesome deals out there and show others how to save in any area of life. Even though you may make the commitment to be frugal and pinch your pennies doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice!
Josie:
Not at all on the straw thing. I feel the same way about Splenda. Everytime we go out to eat, I keep an eye out for some Splenda packets and take a few home with me.
I had work done earlier in the month for a bridge. Turns out I ended up with 2 root canals! After already having one tooth pulled! Bad Dentistry when I was younger. New bridge should be in next week, but mouth done with work! Hope you are better soon!
u make me laugh never occured to me to take extra straws! My daughter won’t drink anything without one. Those would be great for my purse since they are wrapped. Good luck with your teeth.
I never use all the napkins these fast food places give us, so I keep them… I haven’t bought napkins in over a year.
My stockpile just ran out! This is a great idea.
I do the same thing! I also take an extra set of the plastic silverware when I eat out so I don’t have to buy any to take to work with me…
Hope you’re feeling better. Having dentist work done sucks. Especially when you can’t eat or drink! Thinking of you. Here’s to a fast recovery!
uhh! I feel your pain. Just had a crown put in and dang is it sensative now
So sorry about the dental work! I haven’t been to the dentist in over 2 years (I have a fear of them!) As for the straw thing, ABSOLUTELY! Straws, napkins, condiments, sugar packets, I snag a few everytime. Sugar packets always get opened and dumped straight into my sugar jar. One time, I made a meatloaf that called for a 1/2 cup of ketchup…I used all my free ketchup packets!
your on the right path….. start with straws and next you will have little packets of sugar and salt in your drawers….:)
