josie im NOT that great with math but since we using the .50/2 that would mean we would have to buy 2 gums
(2) 1.49= 2.98
– $1/1 CVS
-0.50/2 MQ
= 1.49 FOR BOTH..
BETTER OF JUST USING THE CVS COUPON TO MAKE A TOTAL OF 0.49 CENTS?

I got the free Always as well. The Orbit one didn’t print for me. I got a coupon for $1 off baby wipes. I tried it for the 99 cent travel pack and it worked. These actually were money makers because of that and the Always was $1.47 but the coupon took $1.77 off!

Hi Josie, I had heard that CVS was changing their policy and you could no longer use a coupon on the “free” item in a bogo free deal.

Does that mean the $0.50/2 coupon would not work if you only purchased two packs?

I figured in order to follow the supposed new policy, I would need to buy 4 packs (2 would be free due to the sale) in order to use the $0.50/2 coupon.

Teresa, I personally have never seen a CVS coupon policy :) They are one of the last stores to have one in print. but I personally have not had any issues using a coupon on a free item at CVS. I suggest you try it at your local CVS and see what happens. :)

@Josie

I don’t believe they have an official printed copy of their policy, but other coupon blogs have posted email correspondence from customer service with policies.

Simply CVS Shopping had posted a blog update noting these supposed new policies and noted that an official policy was in the works, but I haven’t seen an update since. I do know that some of the CVS stores in Orange County are already following this update. I just wasn’t sure if the one I frequent in LA or other stores have also adopted this new policy.

If I run into any problems I’ll be sure to comment here to give everyone a heads up.

I went to CVS today, and I scanned the orbit gum at $1.67, and it didnt show up as BOGO. =( I scanned various orbit gums, and the price was still the same. (maybe I need to look for the $1.49 orbit gum?) I did not see BOGO tags either.

However, I was able to get two clearance Orbit-Raspberry Lemon Dew for FREE! Only this flavor was on clearance from $1.67 to $1.25 at Diamond Bar CVS. I used (2) CVS $1 off Orbit gum, and (1) $0.50 MFR coupon. It worked perfectly fine at the register.

So I’ll try again tomorrow, and see if I can get more $1 off Orbit Gum CVS coupon at the red machine =)
