I mentioned a couple of weeks ago-that I will no longer be promoting Digital Doorstep. In my eyes they had messed up twice with not sending out gift cards like promised..For me, that was too many times.
I learned several days ago that Plum District filed a Lawsuit against Digital Doorstep for breach of contract. Then I also found (the same day) that Digital Doorstep filed for Bankruptcy.
Here is a letter from the Plum District CEO:
For any customers who haven’t received Target cards or been able to redeem Starbucks/Fandango promotion codes, we are issuing a full refund. Despite our efforts to resolve the issues, we’ve lost all confidence that you might receive your cards, and earlier this week we filed a lawsuit with Digital Doorstep for breach of contract. Additionally, Digital Doorstep filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy today, so to ensure we always put our customers first, we are refunding all of these unfulfilled purchases. Furthermore, we will not work again with any merchant that doesn’t meet our high standards. We truly appreciate your patience, support and business throughout what we know was an even more frustrating period for you than it was for us. We look forward to “Making Mom’s Day” — your day — each day in the future. If you need further assistance or do not receive your refund within 7 business days, please contact us at help@plumdistrict.com. – Megan Gardner, CEO Plum District
I personally feel that Plum District has done EVERYTHING they could to make this right and I will continue to promote them in the future.
To be honest, for the last two years that I have been blogging, I have never seen so much drama in such a short period of time!

My Name is Josie and I live in sunny Southern California and I am a stay at home mom to three beautiful boys. We all know that living in California is a task of it's own and saving in California IS possible! I started this blog mainly to share all the awesome deals out there and show others how to save in any area of life. Even though you may make the commitment to be frugal and pinch your pennies doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice!
I was wondering what was going on! I purchased 2 movie tickets in November from Tippr and was never able to redeem them through Digital Doorstep. I tried to contact Digital Doorstep but no responce.
Since you sounded the alarm (Thank you, Thank you!) I received my Target gift card but it was only valued at $5.00. It was the deal with Restaurant.com so I hurried and cashed in my Restaurant.com vouchers.
I did better than break even in the deal because Plum District refunded me $15.00; I was able to use the $50 Restaurant.com certificates and got $5.00 from cashing in the Target gift card today.
This was win-win – my husband fell ill right before a trip we’d planned to go to a wedding. I was able to use the $5 toward an “emergency” wedding gift being shipped from Target to the newlyweds in case we don’t make it to the wedding.
