i bought this last night..i used the .55/1 coupons. For some reason it didn’t work for me, i tried to buy 4 hefty bags and use (4) .55/1 Qs…Can you guys tell me if i did something wrong with this scenario:
    (4) Hefty Bags BOGO – 3.79 x2 =7.58
    (3) Hersheys candy Bar- .59 with in ad Q =1.77
    (3) Hersheys air delight candy .59 x3= 1.77
    (1) protien bar – .49
    Coupons used:
    (4) .55/1 Hefty bags
    (3) BOGO Hersheys candy air delight Qs
    6 Register Rewards.
Total after coupons $1.64 plus tax. (ended up paying 2.74 coz (2) .55/1 Q’s didnt took it)
So I tried this last night and for some reasons the computer wouldn’t take the (2) .55/1 coupons for hefty bags…cashier called the manager becoz the $6RR wouldn’t scan, the computer is not taking it…and the manager have no clue of their policy and i showed them the printed copy of their policy that i can use 4 of my coupons against the BOGO sale that they have…the same thing happen with the Kraft Mac n Cheese BOGO coupon i bought 4 and only take one BOGO coupon the computer rejects my other BOGO..is there a new walgreens policy? or am i missing something? anyway that was just weird, its the first time that i encountered a problem at WAGS..never had any problem shopping there..till last night.

The first thing I noticed is that you have more coupons that items you are purchasing. That is a no no at Walgreens. You can only have 1 coupon per item in the transaction, so when you use RRs to help purchase you need to also purchase items without coupons to allow the use of them. Hope this helps.

Sounds like your $6 Register Reward matched with the protein bar as your filler so you should have been ok. I have noticed that if I give my RR before my coupons for some reason it works out. When I give it to them after it always beeps and won’t take it and they have to override it. If your RR was more than one (2 – $3RR) then Michele is correct and you just needed another filler or 2, depending on the number of rewards you had.

Thanks ladies for the response..I only have one $6RR thats why i got that protien bar as my filler…when the manager came out, he voided the whole transaction and we re do the whole thing and gave the $6RR first, it took it but when it went down to the last 2 coupons, it wouldn’t take it and the register keeps freezing..so we tried it the 3rd time and just decided i would not use the (2) .55/1 for hefty bags because that maybe the coz of the problem because i am using it against the BOGO sale and using it for the free ones that i am getting…

You’re right. They should have taken all four of the Hefty coupons. You purchased a total of 11 items and had only eight coupons. For some reason Walgreens always does this to me when I use coupons on their BOGO sales. I think it’s their registers. The manager should have pushed both coupons through.

Julia I think I see what happened. At wags the BOGO free qs automatically ring up value. I.E> My MAC N CHEESE qs did not need to be adjusted nor did they beep. They instantly rang 1.60 off. It is their new computers. The value of the hersheys is 1.09 and therefore the q value ran into your tax amount. Resulting in the beeps and it not taking your qs.
