I went into Albertsons the other day and received this catalina announcement at check out. It looks like a new program for the month of September.
:Get $20 off when you spend at least $250 in qualifying purchases in September. Each time you shop your qualifying spend goes toward your total. When you reach your total, you get your reward with your customer card. Today- September 30th– limit 1 reward per card
I received a separate catalina letting me know of my total spending for the month– The total was the price AFTER coupons. This seems like a great little perk that Albertsons is offering. None of the grocery stores are offering a cash back program like this.

My Name is Josie and I live in sunny Southern California and I am a stay at home mom to three beautiful boys. We all know that living in California is a task of it's own and saving in California IS possible! I started this blog mainly to share all the awesome deals out there and show others how to save in any area of life. Even though you may make the commitment to be frugal and pinch your pennies doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice!
I assume gift card purchases are excluded from the total?
Yes
How do we know what items quailfy?
I purchased all food items. I am assuming it is based on your food purchases. If there was a requirement–they usually would list the items. Hope that helps
more or less….
Items excluded are printed at the bottom of this Catalina ad. Hope this helps.
Aw man, I spent over $100 on Wednesday.
I went this morning and no cat printed for me, and there was nothing about this on my receipt either…….I bought crackers, cookies, johnsonville, kraft cheese…..
Maybe it’s just select stores. My receipts are not showing any tracking either.
