Rite Aid policy states no overage. You MUST tell cashier to adjust Samy Fat Foam coupon down to prevent overage from occuring. Shame on you Josie for condoning activity against Rite Aid policy!!!!

If you notice, my scenario includes the $5 off coupon and my math includes the coupon being adjusted down. Just because I forget to note that the coupon must be adjusted DOES NOT mean I am condoning overage. Thanks

Big Momma I decided to go to your blog and check your scenarios. But it turns out you don’t have one. It looks like you just go to other people’s blogs and criticise what the write instead of doing it your self. If you don’t like the way josie does things then stay off her blog and start your own. THANKS for all your help josie we got your back.

Question, for the glade can We use the 3/1 plus the B1G1 Free?? or no? I’m always confused about the usuage of that kind of coupons.

Sometimes even when you tell the cashier to adjust it down, they don’t do it. So even if you’re following coupon policy’s its not like you can take over the transaction just to do the right thing if the cashier doesn’t care. So, I place no blame or shame.

Either that or they have no idea what you are talking about………I’ve found from previous experiences sometimes, the less you say the better.

Shame on you Big Momma. Know your stuff before you open your Big Mouth! Josie puts in so much time to make it easier for us. She always tries to make us aware of the policies for the coupons and for each store. I know she has even tried to contact the companies if the wording is strange. This is the ONLY site I’ve noticed that tries to inform us on using coupons properly and honestly!

THANK YOU JOSIE FOR ALL THE HONEST HARD WORK YOU PUT IN FOR US!

Hi Josie! I have question on one of the Walgreen’s scenarios. On the Tresemme deal ($4/$15) If I am purchasing 4 items and will be using (2) of the $3/1 and if I also use the $4 R.R from transaction #3, is it necessary to use a filler? I could be overlooking something. Thanks!

Lynda, because the coupon states ” $3/1 Tresemme Styling Product wyb Shampoo or Conditioner” you must buy 2 items to fulfill the requirements for 1 coupon. So you need a filler to be able to use the RR…HTH :)

I got it! In my mind I was counting the 4 products individually and not taking into consideration the coupon requirements. Makes sense now. I knew I was probably overlooking something. Thanks Ambur!

Hi Lynda, It really depends on how this coupon attaches to the items purchased and we won’t know until someone tries. Typically a $1/2 coupon or a $3/1 when you purchase something else, will attach to (2) items as opposed to (1). In this case, Ambur is right and you will need to use a filler if you plan to use a RR as well. If for some reason, the coupon is only coded to attach to (1) item, then you would not need a filler. I do know that Josie’s scenarios that she posts are ones that would work for everyone, and since we don’t know how this coupon is coded to attach to the item, throwing in a filler is always the best way to go for a beepless transaction! Hope that helps!

I went to Walgreen’s and did this deal and it turns out Josie’s scenario and your comments are correct. The coupon states to buy two products in order to get the $3 off. So even though your buying Two items the coupon attaches it as one. Thank You ladies for answering my question and sharing your knowledge.

In your sammy fat foam example, the Rite Aids in my area will not let me combine manufacturer coupons with their in-ad coupons, because the in-ad coupons state manufacturer coupons on top. =(

Hi Elizabeth! Your store is not correct. I highly suggest you print out a Rite Aid coupon Policy here: http://content.riteaid.com/stores/CustomerCouponAcceptancePolicyApril2012.pdf and note the very last print in the coupon policy: “No more than one “48” Rite Aid Valuable coupon, one “49” Rite Aid Manufacturer coupon, and one “5” Manufacturer coupon
can be used on a single item. Rite Aid may accept up to 4 identical coupons for the same number of qualifying items as long as
there is sufficient stock to satisfy other customers within the store manager’s sole discretion.” The in-ad coupon is labeled a “49″ coupon according to the barcode. this coupon can not be used anywhere else except RA so it is not a Manufacturer coupon. So yes, you can stack coupons. If you still have an issue, then I suggest calling customer service. Hope that helps

When I go to rite aid to buy the restless leg cream and use the coupon, they won’t give me the ups unless I spend the $11

What do you use as fillers? Is there a price minimum filler should be?
    -Thanks

You only need a filler at Walgreens, not Rite Aid nor CVS.

But for Walgreens fillers, something cheap is ideal and there is no price minimum. Right now, you could use the cheap school supplies ($.20 mini composition notebook, $.29 erasers, $.39 Sharpie) or something cheap in the food aisle($.59 salt), or whatever else is cheap that week. Look at the items with the Walgreens coupons on the weekly ad for ideas. Using these coupons don’t count towards the number of coupons used. Just don’t forget to have the coupon scanned or you will end up paying the shelf price of the item instead of the price shown on the Wag coupon. I’ve forgotten more times than I care to count !!!
