My Name is Josie and I live in sunny Southern California and I am a stay at home mom to three beautiful boys. We all know that living in California is a task of it's own and saving in California IS possible! I started this blog mainly to share all the awesome deals out there and show others how to save in any area of life. Even though you may make the commitment to be frugal and pinch your pennies doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice!
It is good wine for $1. I think the wine is good quality anyway for the low price.
i’d say it’s the equiv. of trader joe’s two buck chuck.
is this wine good??
In my own opinion, the TJ’s wine is way better than this one!
The Tempranillo is decent if you like red.
TJ’s Pinot Grigio is better than F&E’s “Crisp White.”
F&E has more selection than TJ’s – I think.
However, all in all, it’s worth the $2, let alone, $1 – so stock up!
I like the crisp white wine, but i use it to make peach sangria!
1 bottle of wine, 1 cup of peach shnapps, 1/2 cup of club soda & 4
white & reg peaches let sit over night then add ice & enjoy!!
YUMMMMMM!!!!!
now you made me thirsty- that does sound so good, thank you for the recipe!!!
May have to make it since IT WON’T COOL OFF HERE!
Peach sangria couponing party!!!
I use it to make sangria too, both white and red! Both are also great for cooking wine. (And I’ve been known to just plain drink it as wine in a pinch : )
How do you make red Sangria?
•1 Bottle of red wine
•1 Lemon cut into wedges
•1 Orange cut into wedges
•2 Tbsp sugar
•1 Shot brandy
•2 Cups ginger ale or club soda
Pour wine in the pitcher and squeeze the juice wedges from the lemon and orange into the wine. Toss in the fruit wedges (leaving out seeds if possible) and add sugar and brandy. Chill overnight. Add ginger ale or club soda just before serving
are most about $1-2? anyone know of a good cheap quality red wine they’ll sell? what about a cooking wine? sorry i dont shop at f & e very often. not familiar w/ their wine section
If you are a picky wine drinker, avoid at all cost. If you love to bargain and don’t mind the taste, this is your wine. It’s not bad. As a regular drinker myself, I enjoy it.
