Here is another DIY recipe you can make–with items you have at home.
I love Febreze and with two pets (and messy kids) I pretty much need it on a daily basis. We do not find Febreze on the cheap too often so this comes in handy.
Ingredients:
- 1/8 cup of fabric softener
- 2 tablespoons baking soda
- Hot water (i filled a spray bottle up to the neck of the bottle)
Mix and Spray!

My Name is Josie and I live in sunny Southern California and I am a stay at home mom to three beautiful boys. We all know that living in California is a task of it's own and saving in California IS possible! I started this blog mainly to share all the awesome deals out there and show others how to save in any area of life. Even though you may make the commitment to be frugal and pinch your pennies doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice!
Josie eres fantastica (amazing), you give us so many ideas to keep saving every day. I started working part time and all the time when I talk about my couponing, I always recommend your blog, I tell them that you are most accurate in matching prices since you live here in California too. I heard that people also makes fabric softener with hair conditioner, hope you give us a recipe in the future
I have also heard that seabreeze astringent and fabric softener works well. maybe that is where the Fab and breeze originated??
Will it stain at all? Do you have to keep the water hot all the time or just when you’re mixing?
