I did this twice last week. Is that mean I can do it one more time?

Josie, I did this on Thursday using 3 $2 treatment and 2 $1 shampoo coupons. The cashier and the manager gave me the hardest time. First the cashier said I could only use one coupon because it said one per purchase. I told him it says one per purchase not one per transaction or customer. He said a purchase and transaction is same thing. I tried to explain it to him it’s not then he called the manager. The manager sided the cashier and told me he will do me a favor and accept the coupons just this time and I can’t keep doing this forever. I pulled up the Rite Aid coupon policy on my cell phone and he refused to look at it and said it doesn’t matter what it says there he knows what he is doing. I told him if I get this kind of customer service from Rite Aid I don’t know if I want to shop there anymore or fill up my prescriptions. His response to that was “whatever you want to do mam that is your decision.” This particular cashier and manager are very rude to those use coupons. They make you feel like you are stealing from the store. Rest of the staff is amazing and I guess it’s just my luck I end up getting these two 80% of the time I go there. I had enough by now and I was so angry that I came home and called the customer service and they were very apologetic. I received a phone call from the district manager within and hour and he was very apologetic for the cashier and manager’s behavior. He said I wasn’t doing anything wrong and was just giving Rite Aid more business. The manufacturer will reimburse the store and they should have accepted the coupons without giving me any problem. He said he was going to be doing his rounds at that store on Friday and will make sure the store manager and cashiers understand their coupon policies. Just wanted to let you all know that if you do have a bad experience don’t hesitate to pickup the phone and talk about your experience. I believe it will only improve the customer service.

You go girl! I hope the district manager informs the store and all other couponers who shop there don’t have to worry anymore thanks to you.

I used to go to a Rite Aid store located in a city where I only go there for car maintenance. I went there less than 5 times but every time they gave me hard time. Sometimes they said one coupon per purchase is the same as one coupon per transaction. Sometimes they considered black-and-white printed coupons are copied and only accepted color printed coupons. Sometimes they said a manufacturer coupon can not be combined with a Rite Aid coupon. One associate even said “It’s ridiculous” to me when I used coupons and up rewards to make my opp as less as possible (or even free). Every time I tried to be nice cause I don’t like to argue with others. However, the last time I shopped there, the new associate did not know the coupon rules and asked a senior associate and a manager. They rejected my coupons again. I felt I was against the whole RA employees in that store and in front of many other customers. I said “Every time I shop with your store, I got problems.” The cashier said “Then you should go to other Rite Aid stores.”
I finally called the customer service and talked to the district manager. He promised that he will educate all the employees to be familiar with the coupon policies. I got my deserved apology but I never shop that store anymore. I hope they do change their attitude.

        Erin,

I haven’t had the chance to go back yet. My friend went there today and this particular manager ended up doing her transaction. She said she amazed with his attitude. He gave her no problems with any coupons, helped her look for products, greeted her with a smile and said bye. Normally he is very grumpy and he never says hello. Looks like the district manager has talked to them and it seems like there is some improvement. I can’t wait to go see it myself.

I DO NOT shop at RiteAid… the cashiers are rude or ignorant about everything…. where things are in their store, whats on sale or what items are in their ads. The managers I’ve met have been even worse!

Some have even tried to use extra coupons or told me about a rebate, to help me save.. I hope I never have to use the Customer service line but its nice to know they take care of things so promptly..

Josie, I did this deal Thurs and due to price of items spent almost $30 before coupons, etc. I want to do the 2nd deal and am hoping some of the money will carry over- do you think that will work? So I will only need to buy 4 items? So glad to hear this was still going!!

The bottom of my receipt from the other day says this:

    $25 loreal $10+UP total $9.90
    $25 loreal ever $10+UP total $9.90

So, if I bought a little over $15 in loreal products (while using a $1 MQ and a $1 VVQ), I would get back $20+UPs?? Just wanna make sure I’m doing it right, lol.

    Hi Josie. I’m confused.

Are you saying this will-double dip again – as in starting over? I have used my 3 chances, and am hesitant to try again since you really can’t return items purchased with Plus ups, or so I’ve been told.

I think if I’ve purchased these items 3 times last week, I can’t purchase them 3 more times and get any more plus ups..Hmm.

    What do you think?

I did this 3 times already, this is the shampoo I have been using forever because my hair is chemically straighten and it does wonders to it. I noticed that my ad says limit 4 per household. I may take my chances and try again tomorrow, I am thinking even if it does not double dip, it is still a good sale since I have UPS… Or am I being greed?
    :o )

I made a special trip to do this deal one more time tonight. I should have checked to see if it was still working before I left. Alas, it did not work for me either.

I went to the store yesterday and the tags on the shelf for Ever Strong & Ever Creme had both the weekly sale price, with the monthly Up deal tag underneath. I bought 3 Strong & 1 Creme (I had an amount that rolled over from last week to put me over $25). Only 1-$10 Up printed. I just called Customer Service (be patient, I had to wait a bit to get a rep) and explained that I did the deal twice last week and only once this week, and that 2-$10 Ups should have printed to reach my monthly limit of 3. It took a bit of waiting while CS confirmed my purchase and that this deal is valid in my region. I will be mailed 1-$10 Up in about 7 days (possibly sooner) and the Up will have a longer expiration date to take into account the mailing time.

Called RiteAid this morning. After a long wait time. I was told that it was in error in printing and they will not honor it.

I went today and only the monthly was tracking, so I called today and they said the weekly deal only lasted until 9/17:(. I meant to do my third transaction earlier in the week!

The tags for the weekly deal said till 9/18. Why would a weekly deal only last till Wednesday? RiteAid customer service is confusing!

I called Rite Aid customer service. The rep was familiar with the deal. He said he was just talking to someone about it. He confirmed my purchases and said that someone would call me within 48 hours to resolve. If I’m due Up rewards, they will be given to me, he said. I wanted resolution while on the phone, but he was unable to do it for me. Will let you know what happens.

I finally got a call today from the store manager, who then said I needed to call customer service to get the straight answer. In the end, they said it was a mistake and only one $10 up reward was intended. They were sorry.

hey! one more update.. and a happy ending. The store manager had asked me to call him back to let him know what happens, so I did just that. He explained that he knew what they were going to say, but didn’t like the answer. He felt that if Rite Aid made a mistake, then they should make it right. Apparently there were many calls to Rite Aid customer service last week regarding this. So, I don’t know if the issue was that it was too much cost for them to eat up or what. Anyway, the manager at my store said to come in and he would make it right by giving me a $10 gift card. I love it when store managers have a sense of fair play and justice. Makes me glad that I try and encourages others to do the same.
