My Name is Josie and I live in sunny Southern California and I am a stay at home mom to three beautiful boys. We all know that living in California is a task of it's own and saving in California IS possible! I started this blog mainly to share all the awesome deals out there and show others how to save in any area of life. Even though you may make the commitment to be frugal and pinch your pennies doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice!
Does Albertsons accept catalinas from other stores. I have a few and this would be great if I could use them there. Thank you!
my experience has been no
This is a your mileage may vary scenario. I had a catalina from VONS and asked if they take it (because I didn’t know) and the lady said they normally don’t take them but she took it anyway. This was last week.
I had catalinas from Stater bros and because it was from a manufacture they had no problem accepting it. Give it a shot.
Ralph’s does. I used my Register Rewards from Walgreen’s and had no problem at my local Ralph’s. My friend used her cat from Food 4 Less at Ralph’s as well. It’s in their coupon policy but it is up to the store manager.
Woohoo!!!
I am not so good at keeping up with prices but lately chicken has been so expensive I have been buying the bags of frozen chicken breast ( which I am not even sure has been cheaper) Its hard shopping with a 1year old lol. She has really messed with my couponing haha. Anyway is this what i should stock up on? Cheaper then buying already frozen in the bag maybe?? Thanks so much for all you do Josie!
Yes, this price is a stock up price for me. The average price is $2-$2.50 lb. A good sale is $1.97 lb. However, the BEST sale is lower than $1.50 lb!
Great thank you so much I will be stocking up!!! We are a chicken family.
Good to know thanks!! … i was on my way to buy some ,but iam going to wait !

Thanks for the heads up Josie! Was going to buy at Ralph’s today!
thats a great price…but i try to buy chicken thats hormone free..so i usually end up getting chicken from sprouts or fresh &easy for $1.99lb.
This looks like the Book of Savings….sigh….I miss doublers
I have found that the frozen bags end up being about $12 for 10 lbs, and the Mexican markets (i.e. El Super, Vallartas, etc) run sales once a month for anywhere from .79-1.29/lb for boneless skinless chicken THIGHS. For breasts however, this is definitely a great price!
What a great deal! I personally buy foster farms chicken (bone-in) when they go on sale for $.99/lb and then de-bone it myself! I can use the bones to make chicken stock too
You save even more this way!
Is this coupon in the ad that is in the store? I got one in my mail and want to go back a couple more times. I forgot to have hubby grab a paper.
Yes it is
Does anyone know of this Is a limit of 10 lbs per card or per shopping trip?
Thanks
Per trip
