Hi Josie,
First of all,I just want to thank you for everything. I love your blog, love everything about it.
Thank you for doing such a great job :D
So I just want to ask you something, have you ever had hard time using/ doubling your coupons? How do you deal with the coupon unfriendly cashiers?
Sometime I get so sick in the stomach when they give me such a dirty look when I hand my coupons to them. I usually just bite my lips ignore them as long as I finish my shopping trip. Does that happen to you a lot? How do you deal with it?
I was at cvs the other day, when I was ready to check out. I ended up go to a mean looking lady. I was so close to say something when she gave me the look. She scanned my coupons and try so hard to find a reason to not accept them. And lucky her, she saw “limit one per purchase” on the coupons and she refused to take more than one. What do I do if it happens again next time I shop? Is it really limit one per purchase?
Also another trip to ralphs, I handed my coupons to the cashier and she told me she could only double one coupon per transaction. I was doing the mega deal so obviously I had to get 10. She refused to take more than one so my shopping failed again, i was so upset because i went all the way there basically for nothing. Some other cashiers used to double all my coupons without any issue. Is there anything I can do about it ?
Thank you so much for your time. I just really hate it when some cashiers LOVE to ruin my shipping trips.

Hey! Thank you for the kind words :) When you are couponing..there are always issues. I have learned the stores that are more coupon friendly in my area and visit those regularly.
For instance, I have a Vons in my area that is very picky about doubling coupons..even though there Coupon Policy says nothing about a limit..they always limit me, every time I go it is a different number as well. It is very hard in tghe beginning but once you get used to the stores that you know are more coupon friendly, it will become easier. :)

I tried to email you directly but was unable to get past the security code.
Hopefully you get this great deal…

In 5/15 SS was a coupon for $1/1 lunchables sub. Stater Bros. has them on sale for .75 WYB 10 … Also WYB less than 10, they are $1.00… So either way, they are FREE!!! Already got mine!

Hey Josie,

First off, I love your blog… Finally, someone who lives in Southern California! Anyhow, I have a question for you…

Yesterday my sis & I went to Walgreens to take advantage of the $ .89 Gillette Razor deal but they were sold out. So I had another two $3 coupons for Bic Disposable Razors that happened to be on sale for $5.99 – $2 RR = $3.99

So I did my first transaction and used one of the $3/1 coupons from 6/5 SS and received $2 RR. I did a second transaction with the razors using the second $3/1 coupon from 6/5 SS and $2 RR from the previous transaction and also a bottle of SOBE for $ .99 and only received the $ .99 RR for the SOBE and not the $2 RR for the razors. What did I do wrong? This was my first attempt using coupons. I’m a newbie!

Thanks!

Hi Josie,
I have been looking for someone who lives in Southern Calif. and I happened upon your site. I have learned a lot from other sites and will add your site to my favorites. I live in the Riverside area and shop at Stater Bros and Food 4 Less the most. Where do you shop?

Josie June 19, 2011 at 9:02 am

I shop pretty much everywhere. I frequent many stores a week..usually the ones with the better sales :)

Brandy June 20, 2011 at 8:39 pm

@Bbgurl – hi!! Just wanted to give u some encouragement. Don’t give up :) just a heads up. Per purchase does not mean per transaction. I had a cashier try this last week. It means one coupon per item purchased. So if you have 3 items you can have 1 coupon each unless it has specific limits. There will always be difficult people…. Hopefully you’ll get some nice ones next time :)

Hi Josie,
I had a question regarding a sale that’s going on at Rite Aid for Stay Free pads. They are buy 2 for $5 and I have a coupon that came out this past Sunday for buy one get one free. Now is was wondering if you would consider this a good deal? So if I buy 2 I get 2 packages for free which would make it about 80 cents each.

I’m new to couponing and would some input from you. I love your website! Definitely a ton of help on saving money! Thanks in advance for all the help :)

Hi! I just found your site and I am a fellow SoCal blogger and love to find sites like yours and mine! I just saw you had an event last week which I would have loved to have been apart of! I’m located in San Diego but post deals for all of SoCal and throughout the nation. How can I get on a list to be aware of any events you have going on in the future? I would love to visit with you!
